When brushing teeth with toothpaste, the minty taste and slick feeling from the paste, may give us the sense that we have done a good job brushing. Within 20 minutes that “fresh” feeling is gone because we did not remove enough bacterial biofilm and those germs left behind have multiplied. Try “dry brushing” once a day. Use a toothbrush without anything on it- not even water. Place the brush along the gumline and brush until your mouth feels fresh (about 2 minutes). Follow with quick brush with toothpaste to get the benefits of fluoride and you are finished.
